We are definitely going to have a White Christmas this year! The boys are really enjoying playing in the snow. School was cancelled for three days in a row and now we'll have two weeks off for Christmas break. We haven't done ANY Christmas shopping, as we have a very limited amount of finances this year, but we're all happy and healthy and that's all that really matters this Christmas.

God Is Good
I don't know why I let the weather effect my mood so much! This last week I was in a grieving cycle. I really did not like the election results. I know I was not the only one that felt that way either! I did not think that it would effect me that much. I'm not a political person. Guess I'm finding that I really do care about what direction our nation is heading! All I can say is that we really need to pray for our new president-elect's salvation. Okay, I'm stepping down from my soapbox now..
Anyhow, I am now ready to discard this crummy depression and start living life to its fullest! So please join my in prayer that "the joy of the Lord" will be MY strength.

School Days
So I passed my food service workers test and my paraeducator's test. Tomorrow, I'm going in to take my office support test. This one is more in depth and longer. Pray I pass it! I worked Friday, Monday, Tuesday and today at Waller Road Elementary as a cafeteria worker. Just 2.5 hours each day at $8.07 an hour. But at least I've got my foot in the door. Everyone at Fruitland Elementary (where the boys go) know that I passed my tests and so I want priority over every other substitute para. This is my fourth year volunteering there, so everyone knows me and I know everyone. They are all wonderful people. I feel so blessed to have my kids in such a great school. I'm really excited to be there volunteering three days a week and would love to work there!
