The boys received badges this past Sunday for their involvement in Royal Rangers at our church. I'm so proud of them!

Olympic Game Farm, Sequim, Washington

We went to the Olympic Game Farm on the Olympic Peninsula here in Washington with Andrew's parents. We had soo much fun! It was a really great day trip.

Summer Vacation?

So I've been looking forward to the summer vacation for the past month or so. Counting down the days and everything! But... Andrew started back to work today after 11 weeks of being laid off. So forget sleeping in. Plus my boys just don't get the concept of SLEEPING IN!! I seriously need a nap! We spent all weekend demolitioning the playground at the boys' school. So I think I'm going to settle in for a nice long nap! ZZZZZ

7 Kids, Oh My!

We have seven kids this weekend! Valerie, (our housemate) is gone at a Ladie's Retreat this weekend and left her four, sweet, adorable kiddos with us. So instead of sitting around home bored this weekend, what are we doing? Sitting around Grandma Linda's house watching Spongebob and eating cookies! So much fun. The weather isn't the greatest today anyway. I don't think I would be so tired if I had actually got to go to sleep at 9:00 last night as planned. But 4 little boys were laughing and talking loudly untill at least 10:30pm. To top that off, they all decided to wake up at 6:00 this morning! I woke up to spilled milk, kool-aid and popcorn all over front room floor! Fun, fun, fun!

We are definitely going to have a White Christmas this year! The boys are really enjoying playing in the snow. School was cancelled for three days in a row and now we'll have two weeks off for Christmas break. We haven't done ANY Christmas shopping, as we have a very limited amount of finances this year, but we're all happy and healthy and that's all that really matters this Christmas.

Where does time go?

It's been more than a week since I posted. I have been keeping soo busy, but loving it. I have my paraeducator orientation tomorrow. Man am I anxious for that! I really can not wait! Yah!

God Is Good

I don't know why I let the weather effect my mood so much! This last week I was in a grieving cycle. I really did not like the election results. I know I was not the only one that felt that way either! I did not think that it would effect me that much. I'm not a political person. Guess I'm finding that I really do care about what direction our nation is heading! All I can say is that we really need to pray for our new president-elect's salvation. Okay, I'm stepping down from my soapbox now..
Anyhow, I am now ready to discard this crummy depression and start living life to its fullest! So please join my in prayer that "the joy of the Lord" will be MY strength.
